Creator Spirit, by whose aid
The world’s foundations first were laid,
Come, visit every humble mind;
Come, pour your joys on humankind;
From sin and sorrow set us free;
May we, each one, your temple be.
O Source of uncreated light,
The bearer of god’s gracious might,
Thrice holy fount, thrice holy fire,
Our hearts with heavenly love inspire;
Refreshing showers of blessing bring
To sanctify us as we sing.
Plenteous of grace, you are the key
Unlocking sevenfold energy;
Make us eternal truths receive
And practice all that we believe;
Give us yourself that we through you
Our heavenly Father’s will may do.
Immortal honor, endless fame
Attend the gracious Father’s name;
The Savior Son be glorified,
Who for lost man’s redemption died;
And equal adoration rise
For you, O Spirit, to the skies.
